RWE, a global leader in renewable energy, has expanded its presence in Singapore with a sophisticated workspace that embodies the brand’s forward-looking ethos. Located in the heart of Singapore’s CBD, this dynamic office supports RWE Supply & Trading’s growth and innovation across the Asia-Pacific region, reinforcing its position as a key player in global markets.

To bring this vision to life, the firm selected CBRE and Conexus Studio through separate bidding processes for design and construction. CBRE had overall project management responsibilities, while Conexus Studio was responsible for handling the design and construction. With CBRE’s detailed project management and Conexus Studio’s comprehensive approach to design and construction, this partnership ensured a workspace where every detail — from conception to realisation — is crafted to realise the brand’s ideals.

Crafting a Reception that Captivates

The workplace experience begins the moment one exits the lift, where custom marble tiles have been seamlessly integrated into the lobby, setting the tone for a cohesive entrance into the heart of the office. Stepping into the office, employees and visitors of RWE Supply & Trading enter a futuristic space that harmoniously blends practicality with modern aesthetics.

Sleek surfaces reflect the glow from a wave-inspired ceiling light design, creating a dance of illumination and texture. At the centre of the reception, an oversized RWE logo anchors the brand’s presence, while a large TV screen showcases the company’s brand videos — creating an immersive welcome experience for visitors and employees alike.

Optimising the Spatial Flow and Functionality

The office layout has been meticulously crafted to optimise flow and functionality, creating an intuitive experience for all users. The boardroom sits just behind the reception, with an operable acoustic wall that adapts to different needs and easily transforms into two meeting rooms as required. Bathed in natural light from generous windows overlooking Singapore’s CBD, this space illuminates the reception, blending the professional atmosphere with an inviting brightness.

To the right, the flexible training room mirrors this adaptability, with another operable wall that facilitates dynamic use of space, while the adjacent pantry is a welcoming hub for social interaction and refreshment. Each workstation zone is paired with its own set of smart lockers and meeting rooms, making it easy for teams to access personal storage and private spaces for quick discussions.

Redefining Holistic Workplace Experience

The workspace design delivers a holistic experience prioritising employee well-being, comfort, and a sense of belonging. Local touches in the breakout area—such as rattan accents and Singapore-inspired artwork—create a familiar and inviting atmosphere, fostering a connection for the Singapore team within a global brand environment.

To support the employees’ diverse needs throughout the day, the office features dedicated amenities like a nap room, nursing room, cloakroom and shower facilities, thoughtfully integrated to encourage rest and rejuvenation. Abundant natural light floods through expansive windows, energising the space and enhancing productivity. Complementing this flow, reflective tiles, cool metal surfaces, and RWE’s brand colours create a visually striking and professional ambience. Together, these elements shape a dynamic environment that merges RWE’s brand identity with a workspace designed to elevate both functionality and hospitality.
